If the rats have entered your drains from your property, we will put you in contact with a trusted pest control company to remove the rats safely. However, if we can prove the rat infestation has been entering from a public area of your property, then it will be a case of contacting the local water authority to make them aware of the issue.
There are several steps you can take to prevent rats and other rodents from entering your drains. A small hole or crack the size of a 5p coin can allow mice to enter and a 10p coin can allow rats to enter.
